Jason has been working in the automotive industry for many years, 20 to be exact. Throughout those 20 years, he has worked very hard to gain all the knowledge and technical skills that he has today. When he was younger, he always knew he wanted to work with cars. He says that he was always interested in them and had a natural pull to work on them. His dad used to work on cars in the driveway and he would go out there to spend time with him. Since his dad passed away 19 years ago, he looks back on those memories fondly.
As an automotive professional, working as a mobile technician is very different than working in a traditional shop. He used to work in our San Antonio, Texas market, and one day he was sent to service a young woman's car. He found a loose wire and let her know and she was impressed with his ability to quickly diagnose the issue. He told her that he just knew what he was looking for. That woman had been interested in cars for a while but hadn't taken the next step. They exchanged numbers so he could give her any advice about being in the automotive industry.
That woman ended up getting a job to work on cars and is high up in the shop that she works at. She told Jason that the way he approached the job gave her that extra push and confidence boost that she could do it too.
Now Jason and that Wrench customer continue to stay in contact with each other and he has called her a "lifelong friend."
